THE ‘CADE CROSS’ COLLECTION

Introducing The Legend of Cade Cross and Ironhide- a fine art photographic series set in the dreamscape of the American West.

This fictional saga begins with a collection of cinematic portraits chronicling the rise of Cade Cross…is he an outlaw, bounty hunter? An enigma whose identity is always masked by shadow or the mountain of dust created by his colossal beast and companion, Ironhide.

SHADOWS AND SMOKE

Cloaked in black and moving at blistering speed, Cade Cross and Ironhide erupt from the night in a storm of gunfire and dust. Every trace of their arrival is swallowed by darkness.

Outlaws warn of a distant rumble, followed by the glint of silver and the echo of gunfire. Cade Cross doesn’t miss. If you hear the rumble, it’s too late. By the time the smoke merges with shadow, he is already gone. He leaves only the blurred vision of rider and beast dissolving into night.

What lingers is silence, dread, and the knowledge that an omen has passed. A figure born of shadows and smoke, returning to the void from which he came.

NO BOUNTY NECESSARY

There’s a place in the unassigned lands that settlers and explorers mark on their maps only to draw a hard circle around it- a warning to stay away. Monstrous storms live above those hills as if chained to them. When outlaws speak of it, they do so in hushed voices. Some speculate, “It’s where his kin are buried,” murdered before Cade was old enough to lift his pistol. Others claim he was born in a cave in those black hills, the storm his first lullaby. The most dangerous of whispers insist he’s hidden a fortune in gold there, though few are foolish enough to go looking- those who do vanish without a trace, as if swallowed by the land itself.

Ironhide’s hoofprints fade into the dust along with Cade’s shadow. The wanted posters of the men who disappeared remain nailed to saloon walls with all rewards unclaimed. That’s what makes folks wonder. If Cade is hunting outlaws, why not collect the gold for their heads? The truth is, Cade Cross doesn’t kill for money. Once, long ago, a young Cade watched as a bounty hunter dragged the man who murdered a local sheriff and his family. He was smiling as he took his pay. It was justice, bought and sold. To Cade, a man’s end should be measured in blood and silence, not dollars and cents.

Well, whatever draws Cade back to that cursed stretch of earth isn’t gold, and sure as shit ain’t silver. The rumors change, the stories shift, but one warning remains the same… “If you ever find yourself beneath the black crosses, you’d best have made your peace with the Almighty.” …for Cade Cross, there’s no bounty necessary.
