THE ‘FRONTIER JUSTICE’ COLLECTION
This series examines the paradoxical world of the Unassigned Lands and Great Plains, asking how beauty, spirituality, and violence shaped survival and justice. Rather than glorifying violence, it recognizes the truth of those who confronted it. The frontier is presented not as nostalgia, but as a landscape defined by survival, resistance, memory, and consequence.
Key to this work is the belief that survival is an art. For thousands of years, Native peoples lived, adapted, and thrived across these lands, possessing deep knowledge of nature, community, and tradition. Even those violently uprooted and marched to the ‘Unassigned Lands’, later called Oklahoma, held firmly to their way of life. When threatened, many were not fighting for conquest but for the right to exist, to protect their families, and to pass on their culture.
Through cinematic staging and fine art portraiture, Frontier Justice honors those who refused to disappear, whose courage and struggle ring through every frame. The series reflects on the haunting beauty and harsh brutality of the American West. It pays respect to generations whose relentless resilience made survival possible, and whose culture and unbreakable spirit endure today.
